Sport of Volleyball has been part of the Homenetmen Glendale “Ararat Chapter” for over 3 decades. Every year, our teams, participate in at least three Volleyball Tournaments: The “Allen Hovakimian Games”, “Navasartian Games” and the “Glendale Friendship Games.”
The Volleyball practices are held in three age groups of Under-14 years, Under-18 years and Over-18 years. Practices are scheduled for Monday and Wednesday evenings. Each team has their own coach in order to develop the skills they need for their advancements. The minimum age for practices and membership in the volleyball teams is 10 years old. Anyone having an interest in Volleyball for serious practice or just to have fun is invited to join our program.
The newly built Gagik & Knarik Galstian Gymnasium at Ararat’s North Campus is also being utilized for some of the practices.
