On the weekend of March 23-25, 2012, Homenetmen Glendale Ararat Chapter, Arenoush (Girl Scouts) troop #5 attended a survival camp at the Trask Scout Reservation in Monrovia Canyon, CA. The troop had invested a few months in preparation, planning and organization of this unique camping experience and spent quality time learning skills of survival, making fire, Morse code, handling emergencies and using nature’s resources. During camp the troop members and leaders bonded further as a cohesive troop and gained a deep sense of appreciation and respect for the wilderness.
